episodes like this are the reason i dont bother watching new episodes... the sight gags are bland, the social commentary is years out of date, the storys are disjointed and overly fragmented (like they're trying to be more like family guy, but failing), and homer continues to get stupid beyond the point of being funny anymore. the simpsons has been around long enough to deserve better... they should really make it like a once a month thing if they insist on going on for 20 more seasons... i would rather have only one REALLY well thought out well written episode a month, than 4 bland and quite frankly unfunny ones...
