i never said they were terrible if i thought tht then why would i be on this website???? i simply said that they have declined in quality, and they have im sure u would all agree that these new ones are nothing compared to the old ones, the storylines are too random, and characters keep changing their personalitys, the show lacks consistency! i was on ur side mate the comment that i wrote that admin deleted was me agreeing with u and then a breif paragraph of how i think the simpsons has declined in quality in the last few seasons due to the new writers

The whole point of the Simpsons is to be a stereotype - the 2.4 children, Homer, Lisa, Bart, Apu, the Italian guy, the sea captain - they are all stereotypes of themselves and the makers of the Simpsons fully intended it to be that way. We are supposed to see the irony and not get all uppity about it - the makers are not discriminating in any way. Its supposed to be funny, which it is, so don't get all offended, just enjoy it.

I am a muslim and overall I liked the episode. I didn't quite like one or two of the things like the bullys going to beat him up and some things that Homer said. I'm glad that the story didn't turn out to be that Basheer's family are terrorists and like someone said, I'm glad that they were good people and Homer got it wrong.
