To “monkeemanx” only (and those who do not feel offended hearing the truth):

It becomes apparent that an agnostic monkey man surpasses all others in wit and manners. I am delighted. :) Did you know that Mat Groening is an agnostic himself?

Your observation is correct: I do have problems with religion, like every reasonable man in history did before me. Take Voltaire for example. This famous French Enlightment writer was a fierce opponent of the Catholic dogma as well as Islamic rules. His writings were laying the foundation stone of our freedom. But look at us today? After two World Wars most of us think that history ends at this point and have forgotten what it means to protect and fight for our freedom. Take those for example who keep telling me to “shut the fuck up”. They wouldn’t even lift a finger for their own freedom (or mine).

I agree with you that not all deluded people are “bad” or “evil” and your words would sound wise to me if my heart wouldn’t warn me. But unfortunately you are laying the fate of our future into the interpretation of a book that was modeled on the life of an egomaniac mass murderer. And I am not exaggerating or lying at this point. His life and crimes are well documented. So tell me - what reason should I have to believe that a certain (mis)interpretation of his biography would save us from upcoming wars?

By the way… You should learn more about the life of Leopold Weiss. Watch the Austrian documentary “Der Weg nach Mekka” (The Road to Mecca”). It portrays his journey to the orient in the 1920s. Fascinated by the desert and the “religion”, he leaves Judaism and converts to Islam. From now on he calls himself Muhammad Asad. He becomes one of the most important Muhammedans of the 20th century: He is an advisor at the royal court of Saudi-Arabia, co-founder of Pakistan, UN-ambassador and translator of the Koran. And he shared your optimistic view on “the difference of interpretation”.

He envisaged Pakistan as a role model for the perfect Islamic state. Since then Pakistan has fought three great wars against India, developed weapons of mass destruction and nowadays possesses over 40,000 Koranic schools, but almost no infrastructure like real schools or hospitals. They also produced those terrorists who carried out the attacks in Mumbai and train our European converters to spread terror in the heart of Europe. Muhammad Asad did also a “light-version” of the Koran (he needed over 14 years for this) but at the end he died alone and embittered because his wish to change Islam didn’t really worked up (and most of the Muhammedans did not like him either).

I deeply respect this man for his self-sacrifice and his life surely wasn’t wasted but it also showed the impossibility of his attempt – or would you really consider Pakistan as your next holiday destination?

Think again whether your believe in the “difference of interpretation” really pays off or not.

And to “toberoo”:

I recommend you the Anime “Death Note”. This will ease your urge for genocide. Not much, but at least a little bit. Or read the Bible. It may work wonders. But Jesus does not love your genocide fantasies… because he has his own. Look up for “Judgement Day” in the Bible. Then watch the movie with Arnie. It’s a great movie.

You seem to have some issues about religion, particularly muslim.I myself am an agnostic, and I believe that all religion is ignorant and unreasonable, and is man's vain attempt to explain his origins, without proof. However, I do not believe that those who follow religion are 'bad' or 'evil', and I cannot accept your view that one person in a group represents it as a whole. Their beliefs may too be deluded, and similar, but the difference is that not all of this group (I am of course talking about muslims) believe that those who do not share their beliefs must die. They may follow the same teachings, but it is open to interpretation. If they all followed those teachings in the same way, no doubt we would be in a tremendous war, and one that we may not win. It is the interpretations
of their teachings that makes terrorists, but there are such a small number of these in comparison with those that are good in their religion. I do not judge people as 'good' or 'bad' because of what they believe, unless it is offensive to others, which this religion is not. I judge people as individuals, and by their actions, not as a group, and by their unprejudice beliefs.

Yea. We should kill every single muslim person in the world. Stop them from reproducing, I mean Jesus all the way. I mean, Jesus would be totally for genocide. Besides, if we get rid of religion, people will stop doing bad things. The world would be perfect. All violence will stop completely, no more war, no more poverty. The world would be a perfect place. Not like its man's selfishness and corruption that causes the problems in the world?

All I sense is your insecurity and lack of arguments which you desperately try to conceal behind your aggressiveness and abusing language (like any other of my respondents).

Would it be that hard for you to name me just one good argument why my refusal of tyrants (may they be called Hitler, Stalin, Muhammed or whoever) and their worshiping (or their playing down) is “a pathetic xenophobic bullshit”?

What is the logic behind defending such despots and their aggressive ideologies (whether they are called National Socialism, Communism or Islam)? This is a serious question. Try to answer it by arguments and not by insults. I believe that you are clever enough for this. Otherwise you won’t convince any strong minded and free thinking person in your life.

Concerning Austria:
Almost every Austrian had grandparents that were members of the Nazi party. And according to them no one did anything harmful! They didn’t even see any Jews! Why even bother asking inconvenient questions that could save someone’s life or threaten your own? So… weren’t these common Nazis all fine people?

The same situation today:
Terrorists are getting their inspiration from the Arabic version of “Mein Kampf” and are killing in the name of their god. Fact is: This book teaches the doctrines of a murderer and warlord. Some may be even peaceful (as long as he was weak), but others are not (after he seized power). This book is a two-sided medallion of with most people only wants to see one side – the most convenient.

All I wanted to know is: What do you do with this knowledge?

Do you pretend that this religion is peaceful despite what we see every day in the news? Or are you trying to look deeper and change something in your view?

What is more important in the end? The fact that a certain Austrian was responsible for the deaths of millions or his watercolour paintings? Should we see him as a gifted painter or the architect of terror?

And what about his Arabic counterpart? Should we esteem him as the best of all prophets like his devotees do (even Jesus is a slave to Allah in their believe) or brave the fact that his 1,5 billion devotees follow the teachings of a murderer and warlord who forced his will upon us with violence but who couldn’t even read or write by himself?

People who tolerate Muhammad and his teachings would have also tolerated Hitler or Stalin. The difference is – they would never admit it, because first is safe to say and the over is not. And it’s too painful to accept as well.

Feel offended if you wish, but that’s the way people will think about us and our barbaric believes in some hundred years.

And to be frank: Isn’t it stupid to be a “Muslim” and be always connected with terrorists who just follow the example of their dead Führer? Jesus would be a fine alternative. Buddhism also. Or the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi or Khalil Gibran.

Jesus, so many alternatives and most people are still sticking to the worst possible choice. It’s characteristic for our “tolerant” time.

"Did you see, Anquiliquest? Both of them perfectly proved my theory by judging a whole nation (or even a continent) on the basis of my words!"

No actually they didnt they were giving you an example of how they could be prejudice (like you) but arn't .

"The point still stands, Austria has been involved in killing people and oppression, for example the father who raped his daughter and kept her in a cell under the house and forced her to father his children or for example Jack unterweger a serial killer. It would not be fair for me to blame austrian people for this. Just like the terrible incidents of the Mumbai killings are blamed on me, or 9/11."

As you can see rr222 said "It would not be fair for me to blame austrian people for this" they are just trying to say not eveyone is the same, not everyone is bad but your to ignorant to see that, no ones buying your bullshit AUSTRIAN SIMPSONS FAN
