the overwhelming "SIMPSONS ARE NO LONGER FUNNY" complaints are tired. Yes, they seem to be caught in a -trying-to-figure-out-where-to-go-with-this-show phase but it's not as catastrophic as people make it seem. While I haven't really seen the "Family guy owns Simpsons" argument here I think Family Guy has changed the way people look at The Simpsons. It was NEVER a purely gag show. Yes it's seen funnier days but The Simpsons often had more meaningful and realistic storylines. The episode was a bit meh i think they're trying to hard to be funny and that is where they're problem is. Stick to what originally drew people to The simpons and that was that it was like watching your own family only on a more extreme level lol they're perfectly capable it just seems like the writers are a bit lost...
And the product placement. Get over it. EVERYONE does it. At times it can be a bit much but really...who cares?
There was a comment made here about the Simspons influence on a younger audience. I've been watching since I was a toddler. Teaching children to swear?
Look. When it comes to parents complaining about the influence TV and games have on their kids. the only ones to blame are themselves. Don't let your kids be exposed to things you don't agree with. Simple solution.
