BTW, dominusluna, I'm from europe and I wanted to let you know that the cause of anti-americanism in the world is breeded by you and your followers with the help of your tiny little brains. I have faithin the american people so I will disregard your comments and feel sorry for you.

It seems the majoriy of viewers are finding the new episodes boring and silly. I'm glad. I was beginning to think it's just me.

the point of sideshow bob being on there was?
It was pointless, he should of done something evil instead of being on there for 5 mins doing nothing

This did kinda suck but I don't understand why Sideshow Bob didn't want to kill Bart.

honestly people, stop moaning about the episodes there really is nothing that bad about them. Think back to when you say 'simpsons was at its best'.. there was no family guy, south park, american dad etc etc to compare it to, just ren n stimpy and beavis n butthead. Not too hard to see which was the best written out of those.. now we have SO much to watch we are almost spoiled! Your perception of whats funny changes over time, people have become too cynical about new simpsons and seem to be looking at the old episodes through rose tinted glasses; all the musical scenes, the sideshow bob rake scene, all crap filler in my eyes just the same as there is crap filler in the newer ones (lisa looking out a car window and seeing crosswords everywhere, running about the folk art museum for 30 seconds.. wtf!?? actually that whole episode was bunk pretty much) it just seems to be 'in fashion' to hate on simpsons right now, sure there is some episodes in the past that have been HILARIOUS but honestly, it's like being 30 and thinking back to your school days and wanting to go back because there was 'not a care in the world back then' when in reality you hated getting up in the morning, going to school, the teachers, the fat kid who bullied you etc etc.. I'm not saying that people shouldnt be allowed opinions about the episodes but why go to the trouble of commenting just to be negative? You dont have to watch it over and over, if you feel like the episode was shit dont waste any more time on it, move on and dont give it another thought, dont jump on your keyboard and start crying and acting all butthurt cos its not what it used to. 20 series of anything must be hard to do.. I think the writers are doing great still, as are the admin and contributors on here

Admin, why is the reporting disabled?

Anyway, not so funny episode. Though, I think we should implant a report function for spamful comments, because Dominusluna's comment has got to be the most outrageous I've read in ages.

Admin: To much time of mine was wasted going through 100's of reported episodes.. only to find maybe 1 or 2 is dead.. So now i turn on reporting once a week and then fix the ones that are actually dead.

Retrospect is a very good thing, with anything that has run as long as The Simpsons you're always going to have the argument that "It's not as funny as it used to be". Longevity and consistency are two of the hardest things to achieve and as the world changes satire has to change with it otherwise we'd be stuck in a music hall-esque style of parody. The thing the Simpsons and Family Guy etc do is draw from pop culture and if said culture is weak then the resulting shows will be weak.
