In general Norwegians are a little reserved and cold, but when you get to know them they are your friend!
BUT there are people in Norway that is just like the ones in the episode! They've called The Smiths Friends/Smiths venner, and dedicate their lives to voluntary work. AND they get the job done pretty well!
This episode is spesially fun for us Norwegians for a few resons!
First, we love how english speaking people pronounce norwegian words, like Moe when he sais "Aquavit" when the word is pronounced "Akkøvitt".
Secound, The norwegians are a proud people which love their country and love every bit of attention. We think we are much bigger than we really are, we're like a annoying little brother!
Third, finally we instead of Sweden or Denmark gets recognised. No offence to neighter of them! In movies and shows there are eighter Sweds or Danish, almost never Norwegians (except when it's bout vikings). We are Swedens little brother and we like when we get the attention rather then Sweden!
Finaly I would like to warn anyone who read this; Alexander Rybacs song "Fairytale" is adictive and pretty annoying in the long term. There are better, real Norwegian music on the lose; "Kaizers Orchestra"!
With a charismatic vocalist, 2 oilbarrows, a pump organ, a dubble bass, a big red tinkan, and a lot of talent they have worked they way into fame throughout Europe and taken controll of the continent "Kontroll på kontinentet"!
