Comic Book Guy creates a new superhero called Everyman who takes powers from other superheroes. Homer is cast as the lead in the film adaptation. To get Homer into shape, the movie studio hires a celebrity fitness trainer, Lyle McCarthy to help him.[1] Homer gets into great shape, and is really excited, but the film is canceled, and his life falls apart.

seriously, this episode is SO tired and dull and BORING.... to everyone saying "omg i laffed so much hahah!!!" i can only assume you are about fifteen years old or younger.
seasons 1-8 are the best in my opinion, seasons 9-12 are very good.... but from season 13+ there is a steady decline which turns into an AVALANCHE at about season 18.
the last three seasons have been ATROCIOUS. i am so sick of regurgitated plot lines and POINTLESS MUSIC SCENES/MONTAGES..... seriously what is this? scooby doo?????? almost every single new episode in the last few seasons has a stupid music montage (like when skinner is chasing bart to the tune of dropkick murphys etc).
simpsons is so inbelievably bad these days it makes me rage just seeing comments like "omg best episode ever". anyone writing that clearly has no intelligence, because thats what it takes to understand humour. INTELLIGENCE. why do you think all of the top comedians ever have all been really smart? rik mayall went to a top university, harry hill used to be a doctor.... coincidence?
humour takes intelligence, simpsons has no sense left in it and thus is only found funny by people with below average IQ or people who live in houses with lead paint and asbestos in their ceilings.
