What could of made this EPISODE much better would be if Bart goes into MMA with homer and homer being his manager or something without marge knowing and barts doing all this MMA fights and winning that would be much better.

I agree in the point of marge being boring as the plot-leader.

Why on earth did she win the fight? Why? I was looking forward to see her getting beaten up so badly and then she screwed him? No way.

But still the jokes are fun, in my opinion. ^^

Thank you sooo much, Admin!

Ah, who am I fooling. Of course I watched the episode.

@ikilluall
I don't think the problem is that we are getting older.
At 28 I still try to squeeze in an episode at least once a day, but hardly every wonder past Season 16.

The problem is a conflict of quality and quantity.
In the newer episodes there is basically no frame that has not hidden joke somewhere and every sentence is either a run-up to a joke or a joke itself.
In the older episodes there were maybe 10-12 jokes in the entire 20min.
For the younger generation this is not enough anymore. As with most things today, quantity is more important than quality.
I feel this development in the case of The Simpsons is really a shame, but I am sure the producers know what they are doing. They are moving with the flow.

It seems fashionable to knock the newer seasons.
I've rewatched a lot of episodes from the early to the newest.
The latest shows seem much more cleverly written, even more for adults in my opinion.
Better than ever, latest episode was very good.
