haha loved this episode....i live in the UK and there are tonnes of cctv cameras...and someone said that the cctv operators cant use voice over to speak to the ppl but in some towns/city centres where there is known trouble they can (ive seen it on a police programme :D)
i dont see why ppl keep saying The Simpsons needs to get their facts right about the UK cos its just a joke...obvoiusly they're not all true just like the things some ppl think of the US :) overall brilliant episode :DD

Yes, in the UK we do have allot of CCTV cameras, since were the most watched country in the world, perhaps it is too much.
1. The majority of them are not in the state domain, i.e. they are not constantly viewed by the police and the security services they are recorded and collected when and if needed.
2. We most certainly to not cringe when ever we come in view of a CCTV camera, we don't even think about it. I my self get caught on camera well over 500 times a day, and I don't even think about it.
3. Views of CCTV can not talk to those being observed through the cameras.
And yeah thanks Lisa, the world really don't think we need a lecture about civil liberty from an American, The UK and indeed the entire EU have a far better human rights record than the USA and despite claims we are more tolerant of race/religion/sexual orientation than the USA. When the USA freely lets its citizens carry fire arms I don't think they have a right to criticize a system in essence does make us.

It was a good episode. The beginning made me slightly sick though. Simpsons used to use great music all the time! What happened?
